Guestdesk has finished the second phase of development in the ongoing project to give customers the ability to process payments in real time using the Authorize.net payment gateway.
The second phase has introduced the ability to set Recurring payment options and set date sensitive final settlement options. As before, these settings are configured on a per package basis in order to provide flexibility in billing. The interface design is shown below.
Our new design allows for three transaction types: Authorize Only, Capture Prior Authorized, and Recurring Payment. Please refer to this Authorize.net article that explains each of these transaction types.
Recurring Payment is the new and improved feature with this latest round of development. We have delivered the ability to automatically charge an initial deposit that is calculated by the rules below, and then control when the final balance will be charged.
The settings above reflect a transaction that will charge a deposit of $25 per golfer when the reservation is booked more than 15 days prior to the arrival date of the reservations. It also is configured to charge the remaining balance of the reservation when the remaining days before the arrival date is equal to 15.
